TRENDS SPRING/SUMMER 2022

The shows have started again for the trends of spring/summer 2022, so let’s take a look at some of them! I have picked four trends out of MANY, that I think will play a big role in spring/summer.

First off what I call:

Festive chique

There have been lots of sparkles, sequins, velvet and mesh on the runway. So save your party Christmas/new years outfits, we can wear them in spring/summer as well! Combine your sparkly top with jeans or wear a sweater over your velvet dress to dress them down for daily wear.

Next up:

The power blazer

Blazers have been around since forever, but the power blazer has a new silhouette: a defined waist and big shoulders. A perfect blazer for any outfit.

Keeping it bright

Bright colors are back better than ever for this spring/summer!

Combine lots of bright colors or go for color blocking which has been spotted a lot on the runway as well. As long as it’s colorful you’re good to go.

The Bermuda short

There’s no way around it anymore, the Bermuda short. We went from skinny jeans to loose fitted jeans so the shorts had to join. They come in lots of styles and colors so you can style them in lots of ways.

A couple honorable mentions are:

- Visible lingerie has been a trend that’s been coming back for a little while now. Wearing a lace bra underneath a blazer, seeing your lingerie through your mesh clothes, there are lots of ways to go about this.

- Minimalist monochrome, especially white. There are so many all white looks on the runway.

- Lace up, a lot of lace up details spotted in shirts, pants, basically anything.

Remember, you don’t have to join every trend or like them. If it’s your style and you love it, go for it! If it isn’t, don’t feel pressured in buying it.
